Terms of use

Last updated August 2026

These terms cover your use of this website. They are not our terms of business — those are set out in the engagement letter you receive before any work starts.

Who runs this site

This website is operated by BeAdvised Legacy Ltd, trading as BeAdvised Legacy Planning, registered in England and Wales. Contact details are on the contact page.

Information, not advice

Everything published here is general information about wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration. It is not advice about your circumstances, and you should not act on it without talking to us or to another suitably qualified adviser. Law and tax rules change, and a page that was accurate when written may not still be.

No solicitor-and-client or adviser-and-client relationship is created by reading this site or by sending us an enquiry. It begins when we have agreed in writing what we are doing for you and what it will cost.

Prices

The figures on the price list are our standard fixed fees. They are published for information and are not a binding offer — your fee is confirmed in writing before any work begins, and where circumstances are more involved than they first appeared we will tell you what that means and what it costs before doing anything further.

Regulation

BeAdvised Legacy Planning is an unregulated estate planning service and does not provide regulated financial or legal advice. Nothing on this website is an offer or recommendation of any regulated financial product or service. Where your circumstances call for advice of that kind, we will tell you so and suggest you speak to an appropriately qualified professional.

Using the site

  • You may read, print and share pages for your own personal or business use.
  • The text, photographs and logos on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not republish them elsewhere without asking.
  • Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, submit anything malicious through our forms, or use automated tools to harvest content or submit enquiries.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another organisation — the Office of the Public Guardian, HMRC, the ICO — we do so because it is useful. We are not responsible for what those sites contain or for how they handle your data.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be up to date or uninterrupted. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing on this page affects your rights as a consumer.

Your information

What we do with information you send us is set out in our privacy notice, and what we store on your device in our cookie notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed.
